Storks nesting on many of the telephone poles in one town

More storks
All thru the mountains, we could see many people gathering mushrooms and salad greens.  Some men were selling them on the side of the road.  Some of the houses, that were no more than hovels, showed how some of the people live in ubelieveble poverty.

In one town, it seemed like the whole town were out in their gardens, usually doing everything with a shovel, rake and hoe.  however we saw two rototillers, much to our surprise.  Everyone was anxious to get their gardens in because of the short growing season in the mountains.

The buses are called a "marshutni". Evelyn and other Peace Corps Volunteers often used the buses.
