over half a century ago, in '53 i graduated from cal hi and went to zion to work at johnson motors. i bought the model a for $75 from paul niskala's car lot. after working midnights for 6 weeks i decided their was more to life than working in a die cast department so i packed up and went back to calumet hi to take courses that would get me into mich tech. i had passengers from zion to calumet. paul jackola, shypoke hillstrom, quentin ruonavaara, and leonard stang came along on the ride. we drove 35 miles per hour and when we had more than 5 cars behind us the cop told us to pull over and let them pass. we made the trip without incident and later i sold the car for $100 to pauncho brulla who still lives on rice lake rd.
