This is the way you buy your breads...lots of it is unwrapped and handled by a few people before you get yours. Actual loaves are rare. There are no toasters, and there's a " possibility" that you can buy peanut butter in Yerevan. microwaves are scarce.
This is a map of armenia. It's comparable to the size of the Upper Peninsula. You can see Turkey on the left, Azerbaijan on the upper right, and the large"disputed territory" is also on the right. Peace Corps volunteers are not allowed in Turkey or the disputed territory. They can only go to Azerbaijan.
There was an ethnic war between Armenia & Azerbaijan in that disputed area. It was not resolved. They were both Soviet Republics at one time. I have placed my pills on the places we visited. I forgot one in the west.. So we really did see a lot of Armenia. (7 different areas) The large lake is Lake Sevan.
