Evelyn (in glasses) and her college students.

Evie and her postman.  The mail is kept in the padlocked door behind Evie.  This little man, who has spina bifida  sorts the mail.  Sometimes Ev has helped him find out who the letter or pkg. is for.  He stands outside the postoffice, and when you go by, he will holler, "you got mail!"  ( little different than our computers, hey?"

This is Hayk's mother-in-law.  She, I thought was the sweetest old lady, who gave me a kiss when she found out that I was also a grandma.  Their yard was all garden except this little spot.  Very primitive, but charming.  By the way, this sweet old lady is 4 years younger than I!!!  She is 70.   Evie said the Armenians really age fast.

This is the people's fuel.  Where there are not much trees, they save cow dung, spread it, like you see on the right.  When it's dry (no smell), they cut it in squares you see on the left and background.   Many many yards had this "fuel" piled neatly.

On our walk to Hayk's house, a young mother was doing the wash in this "washing machine".
